Zigana

Zigana appears in the names of the Zigana Pass in the Pontic Mountains of northeastern Anatolia, the 1988 and 2023 tunnels through it, and the 2009 avalanche there. It is also the Curiate Italian form of Zygana, a former bishopric and Latin Catholic titular see at Cobuleti in Lazica, now in Georgia, and the name of an automatic pistol made by the Turkish company TİSAŞ.
