Correcting a page
Send the exact URL of the page, the sentence or field you think is wrong, and what it should say. A source helps — a dictionary entry, an etymology reference, a breed club page or a published book. If the point is disputed, tell us that too; we would rather describe the disagreement than replace one unqualified claim with another.
Suggesting a name
Suggestions are welcome. Include the name, what it means or where it comes from if you know, and any source you can point to. We cannot promise to publish every suggestion: an entry needs enough verifiable background to be useful, and names that are only a spelling variant of an existing entry are usually folded into that entry instead of getting their own page.
Advertising and partnerships
Advertising on the site is sold through third-party ad networks; we do not run sponsored articles or paid placements inside the name library. For an advertising or technical enquiry, use the same address and put the subject in the first line. Editorial decisions are not for sale — see the editorial policy.
Privacy requests
For a question about analytics, advertising data or your rights, email the address above with “privacy” in the subject. Our privacy policy lists the third parties that receive data when a page loads and explains the choices available to you.
Response times
We read every message. Corrections and privacy requests are handled first; replies usually take a few business days. If you have not heard back, resend with the original message attached rather than starting a new thread.
